Visit Places in Vrindavan

The land where the Hindu deity Lord Krishna is believed to have spent his childhood, Vrindavan is surrounded by other areas connected to the legend of Krishna like Govardhan, Gokul and Barsana. Chief attractions of Vrindavan


Prem Mandir

Timings: Morning 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM | Afternoon 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Best time to visit: Late evening to witness the illumination and decoration

Dedicated to the love shown in Hindu mythology among Ram-Sita and Krishna-Radha is one of the most thronged temple in Vrindavan. The temple is illuminated with lights each evening and witnessing it is surely a sight to behold.


Madan Mohan Temple

Timings: Morning 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM | Afternoon 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Best time to visit:During Oct-Nov month 4:00 AM to witness the rare Mangala Aarti

One of the oldest temples in Vrindavan, Madan Mohan temple was built around 1581. This temple is situated on a hilltop and today is under the archaeological survey of India. It is believed that after defeating the demon Kaliya, Lord Krishna rested on this hilltop and hence this temple holds great importance for all devotees of Krishna.


Banke Bihari Temple

Timings: Morning 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM | Afternoon 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Best time to visit: Morning at the time of Bhog and Aarti

Another popular temple in Vrindavan, the Banke Bihari Temple is a classic display of Rajasthani architecture. The facades of the three storeyed temple gives it a very unique look. It was built in 1860.


Radha Raman Temple

Timings: Morning 5:00 AM to 12:00 AM | Afternoon 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Best time to visit: Evening during Aarti

One of the most intricately carved and decorated temples of entire Braj region, Radha Raman temple was built at the request of Gopala Bhatta Goswami in 1542. The temple houses the smallest respected idol of Krishna with an image of Radha to his side.


Isckon Temple

Timings: Morning 4:30 AM to 12:45 PM | Afternoon 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Best time to visit: Morning during pravachan

Isckon stands for International Society of Krishna Consciousness which is a worldwide community that practices meditation and sings bhajans in the name of Lord Krishna throughout the world. This temple in Vrindavan is also known as Krishna-Baldev temple and is established lavishly in marble.
